Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question about the hotel or our extended services, policies and booking requirements, please review our FAQ’s to see if your question has already been asked. Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions from guests and brand partners:

  • IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN THE BOOKINGS PRICE?
    Yes, breakfast is included in the rate. If you don’t want breakfast included it is possible to give an extra discount.
  • DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS?
    For now it is not possible to pay by card, although we accept Paypal, Revolut and banktransfer.
  • DO THE ROOMS COME WITH A REFRIGERATOR?
    Not standard, but we have fridges we can place in the room for $5 per night extra.
  • IS SHUTTLE BUS FROM STONE TOWN INCLUDED IN THE BOOKINGS PRICE?
    We work with a private taxi, which you can book from $35 to $60, depending on the season and amount of people in the car. We also have a bigger bus available for groups, price will be $10 per person.
  • DO THE ROOMS HAVE A CHAIR & DESK TO WORK REMOTELY?
    If needed, we can place these in the rooms, although most rooms are equipped with some extra furniture.
  • WHAT IS THE DOWNLOAD SPEED OF THE WIFI?
    We provide free internet for guests up to 2 Mbps. If needed we can provide paid internet for max 5 Mbps (price dependent on the length of the stay, between $3 and $5 per night).
  • WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY?
    For now it is still possible to cancel for free until 6PM on arrival day. Although we would greatly appreciate that you will give us earlier notification if cancelation is required.
  • ARE THERE ANY RULES ON TIPPING THE STAFF?
    We don’t have rules, although our staff appreciates it if tips are put in the tipbox so all staff can profit from tips. But feel free to tip personally 👍
  • IS THERE AN OPTION FOR ALL-INCLUSIVE HOTEL PACKAGES?
    There is the option to book half-board or full-board for respectively $10 and $20 per person per night. Some dishes on the menu (for example lobster) will be charged a bit extra.
  • DO YOU WORK WITH AGENCIES TO OFFER EXCLUSIVE PARTNER DEALS?
    Yes, we work already with some tour operators and have options possible like a fixed price during the year or a better discount, depending on the length of the stay, amount of rooms and amount of visits per year (as prices vary and are better in low season). Contact us directly for more information.
  • WHAT PROTECTIONS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE FOR COVID-19?
    Tanzania does not enforce any detailed restrictions on this except the need a negative PCR-test to enter the country, unless fully vaccinated. Only in the airport, some hospitals and government buildings it is still obligated to wear a facemask.
  • DOES YOUR RESTAURANT OFFER VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN FOOD OPTIONS?
    Yes, inform our staff of your diet and they will provide you with a breakfast, lunch or dinner adjusted to your dietary requirements.
